Durant Motors was an American vehicle company that existed from 1921 and 1932. William C. Durant, a significant player in the early American automobile industry and the founder of General Motors (GM), established the corporation. After being fired from GM, Durant formed Durant Motors with the goal of producing a low-cost vehicle to compete with Ford's Model T.
