Texas Tech University, or Texas Tech, is a public research institution in Lubbock, Texas, United States. It was established in 1923 and is a member of the Texas Tech University System, which includes Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center and Angelo State University.
The Texas Tech logo, occasionally referred to as the "Double T," has been the university's official logo for more than 50 years. It comprises of two letter "T"s, one put in front of the other to symbolize the university's initials.
