Mitsubishi is a Japanese multinational company noted for its extensive product and service offerings, which include vehicles, electronics, heavy industries, and financial services. Yataro Iwasaki began the company in 1870 as a shipping enterprise, and it has subsequently grown into a variety of industries.
The Mitsubishi logo consists of the words “Mitsubishi Motors” and three red diamonds. The design is drawn from the term “Mitsubishi,” which means “three diamonds” in Japanese. The three diamonds indicate a family-first attitude to good fortune and are similar to the Tosa Clan’s three-leaf crest and the Iwasaki family crest’s three stacked rhombuses.
