The Ilkeston Town FC logo draws influence from the club’s and town’s heritage. A ball with a robin is a slight modernisation of the current logo, which also relates to the nickname of Ilkeston Town FC. The Latin phrase “Labor omnia vincit” (effort conquers all) appears prominently on the town’s coat of arms and was thought appropriate for the club’s future.
Ilkeston Town FC has a rich history that dates back to its inception. The club was established in July 1945 and competed in the Notts and Derbys Senior Senior League. They have made important successes over the years, including winning the FA Cup in 1951.
