ABX Air is a cargo airline headquartered in Wilmington, Ohio, United States. It was formerly known as Airborne Express, which was founded in 1946 as a courier service. In 1980, the company began operating as an airline and changed its name to Airborne Express in 1984. DHL purchased Airborne Express in 2003, and in 2004 the business changed its name to ABX Air. Boeing 767 and 757 aircraft are currently flown by ABX Air, principally for DHL's express delivery network in the United States.
