Piaggio is an Italian company that manufactures scooters, motorcycles, and small commercial vehicles. Rinaldo Piaggio started it in 1884, with an initial concentration on locomotives and railway carriages. However, following World War II, the company turned its attention to creating inexpensive transportation for the general public.
The Piaggio logo has a wordmark with an emblem above it. The wordmark is created using a proprietary sans-serif typeface, with the letter “P” having a sharp angle simulating a wasp’s sting and the letter “O” having a square form with rounded edges. The logo’s color palette comprises light blue and silver-white for the symbol, and black for the wordmark, portraying the company as professional and trustworthy.
